Exit Row or Leg Space is available on selected routes. After making your reservation, verify your flight eligibility by providing your information below. If your flight is eligible, you will be redirected to a new page to make your bid.

Step 2: Submit your bid
 

Choose Exit Row or the first row seat in Economy Class (Leg Space) and make a bid. If it’s successful, you’ll be charged the bid amount and receive confirmation in your email up to 23 hours and 30 minutes before departure.*

Step 3: Enjoy your extra comfort!
 

Once your seat is confirmed, you’ll enjoy the extra space on your flight.

You can bid from the moment you make your booking and until the moment Check-in opens (24 hours before departure for flights to the USA and 36 hours before departure for all other flights).

Yes. After entering your booking details, all segments of your trip that are eligible for bidding will appear. At that time, you can choose in which segment(s) - outbound, return, or both - you want to benefit from Extra Legroom.

No. It is only possible to bid for Extra Legroom on flights operated by TAP Air Portugal and TAP Express or by airlines operating on their behalf.

You can change or cancel your bid before the auction ends, through the email you received with your bid details or through flyTAP. Once a bid has been accepted and payment has been made, it is no longer possible to change or cancel it.

The service will be cancelled and the amount bid will be refunded to you. In these situations, you can request a refund here, following these steps:
1. Choose option: submit a complaint;
2. Choose motive: reservation;
3. Choose sub-reason: request for seat assignment;
4. Fill in the flight details.

Once you have received confirmation that your bid for Extra Legroom has been accepted, it is not possible to request a refund. The same applies if, after purchasing the service, you cancel your Check-in.

Extra Legroom is only refundable if, due to TAP’s responsibility, you are unable to use the seat purchased or a seat with a different number but the same characteristics.
